Because we have some of the most talented people in the world!We are searching for a Senior Electrician-Fire Alarm Technician to perform diversified duties pertaining to the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarms, nurse call, and security systems through out all Southcoast Hospitals Group facilities. As assigned, perform similar duties servicing a wide variety of other electrical equipment used for hospital services. Maintain all appropriate related logs and records and assure compliance with all Federal, State, Local and other regulatory agencies within scope of own position responsibilities. Duties require work on all shifts, weekends and holidays as operationally necessary. Provide direct supervision over functional unit or section where supervisory responsibility includes scheduling and/or assignment of personnel. May relieve or act as substitute for appropriate head during periods of absence; however, supervisory responsibility is not normally a significant portion of assigned duties

  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Shift: Day shift; 7:00am-3:30pm; Occasion weekend or off hours as required
  • Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA
  • Travel: This position requires travel between systems sites

    Education and/or Experience Requirements:

    • Associates degree or related trade school, military service and other related experience is required.
    • A Licensed Electrician and MA Fire Alarm License are required; NICET level 3 certification is preferred.
    • Manufacturer's training in Fire Alarm Nurse Call and Security Systems is preferred.
    • Experience in the performing and documenting a preventive maintenance program is preferred.
    • A minimum of five years related work experience is required including experience in reading and interpret various manufacturer's sketches and specifications.
    • A valid driver's license is required.
