***Family Service Association is offering a $1,000 signing bonus***We have an exciting Part -time (21 -hour per week) -opportunity at our new Adult Day Health location, Seaview in Mashpee, MA for a Program -Aide/back up van driver. -The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. or 3:15 p.m. or - 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - You can choose mornings or afternoons with these time frames. - -Job Summary:The Adult Day Health Program Aide/backup Van Driver shall assist the Activity Director and Program Coordinator with the day-to-day implementation of the goals and activities set forth by the program's daily operation. - He/she may also transport program participants to and from the program on an as needed basis according to schedule approved by the Program Coordinator and Transportation Coordinator.Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Maintain individual participant records to include program notes and daily activity logs as assigned.
• Observe, report, and document participant status and care and services provided. -
• Assist the Program Coordinator through the design of new ideas to increase and ensure program growth and quality.
• Assist with basic nursing care, including:Reporting all changes in body functionsObtaining and recording vital signsAssisting with personal care skills and safe participant personal hygiene and grooming.Assisting with ADL's with various levels of functioning, including basic restorative nursingRecognizing, responding to, and reporting basic emergencies, following proper procedures, including the Heimlich Maneuver and CPR.
• Assist Program Coordinator with the implementation of policies and procedures.
• Assist and encourage participants with opportunities for socialization, education, group interaction and recreation.
• Assist in set up, implementation and breaking down of daily scheduled activities.
• Assist with meal procurement, service, delivery and clean up in accordance with sanitary food preparation and USDA standards.
• Assist with the ADL needs of the participants as warranted.
• Transport program participants according to established safety rules and road regulations as assigned by the Program Leader/Transportation Coordinator.
• Respond to reasonable expectations of The Agency and/or supervisor.Education and Experience:

• The Adult Day Health Program Aide requires a high school diploma.
• Must possess one year experience working with adults -or the chronically disabled, and an ability to work with others as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Current CNA certification a plus.
• Must be able to pass CORI process.
• Must possess a current Class D Driver's License. -
• Safe Driving Record (with no more than one moving violation within the preceding two years).
