Southcoast Health is searching for a Cardiac Sonographer to perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties in our IAC accredited Echocardiography Department. Provide health services using echocardiography procedures to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of various human disorders in the Cardiovascular Care Center with cardiac surgery and structural heart program. Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complimentary of medical ethics. Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Employee may be required to be scheduled on call to provide STAT services during off hours, when the department is closed.

• Shift: Day shift 7:00am-4:30pm with weekend, holiday rotation
• Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA
  Education and/or Experience Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • An Associate's Degree or Certificate from a recognized Echocardiography Program or the equivalent knowledge and experience is required. Would consider recent graduate of an accredited echocardiogram program.
  • Must have strong echo/stress echo skills including strain.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current RDCS registry or CCI is required. Must be ARDMS or CCI registered within 6 months of employment.
  • Two (2) years of clinical experience is preferred.
  • CPR Certification required
  • Prior stress echo, transesophageal and structural heart experience preferred. Neonate/pedi experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently when needed and be on-call on a rotating basis.
    Must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 and seasonal Influenza.
