The Whitney Academy, Inc. is a residential treatment center. We serve adolescent boys, ages 10 to 22 who present with cognitive delays and a spectrum of behavioral problems. We are currently accepting applications for our intensive treatment programs located in Dighton, Assonet and Freetown, Massachusetts.Our mission is to provide education, residential and treatment environments that are as "normal" as possible given the needs of the students we serve. As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide classroom instruction and lesson planning to students performing below grade level in a six-student, self-contained classroom. Other requirements include excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills, and ability to collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
