Job Description:
Year Up is pleased to invite applications for our Computer
Systems Administration Job Training Program, aimed at equipping
young adults with vital technical skills in computer systems
management and administration. This initiative aligns with Year
Up's commitment to closing the opportunity divide by providing
robust education coupled with hands-on internship experiences. Over
the course of one year, participants will be engaged in
comprehensive training modules focusing on key systems
administration domains, culminating in real-world internships with
our partner firms. Attend all training sessions to learn various
aspects of computer systems administration including network setup,
security protocols, system troubleshooting, and user support.
Complete project assignments and hands-on tasks to solidify
knowledge and skills. Engage actively in internship opportunities
to apply learned skills in a real-world setting. Collaborate with
peers and mentors to complete group projects and tasks. Prepare for
and acquire relevant certifications as part of curriculum
expectations. Strong understanding of operating systems such as
Windows and Linux Basic knowledge of network configuration,
including LAN/WAN technologies Proficiency in troubleshooting
hardware and software issues Efficient in utilizing database
management systems Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
effectively Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance Participants will be prepared for and encouraged to
obtain certifications such as CompTIA A, Network, and Microsoft
Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) during the program.
