Atkore forges relationships and shapes the future with breakthrough results, enhanced technology, and innovative product offerings.We are currently searching for a Human Resources Generalist to be based out of our Electrical Cable & Flexible Conduit facility in New Bedford, MA. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this person's primary focus will be to undertake a wide array of HR tasks in order to support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations.The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources. Plant-level HR experience highly preferred. Experience in labor relations preferred. Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Act as strategic business partner within client groups in creating and leading HR solutions to ensure overall performance within those groups.Provide HR support in new initiative rollouts in the form of innovative ideas, communication, change management, and thought partnership.Partner with the plant leadership and business leaders within your client groups to drive talent management and performance management, which includes succession planning, training and development, performance review completion, etc.Handle full cycle recruitment for all salaried and hourly positions within client groups.Provide tools and support to help management teams drive engagement and alignment (culture) amongst their employees.Provide coaching to supervisors regarding employee relations, difficult conversations, and process improvements.Conduct workplace investigations and report out on findings as needed.Be the main point of contact to employees within client groups for all benefits, pay, and job related questions.Report out on HR metrics and prepare presentations as required.Drives Engagement and Alignment (cultural) initiatives for the facility. Assists with planning and organizing plant events, e.g. luncheons, picnics, recognition, etc.Support and drive process improvements for Atkore-wide people-related programs and best practices.Conduct research into personnel programs, policies and activities and employment law and recommend strategies, changes or innovations where appropriate.Maintain necessary records.Ensure compliance with employment related laws (EEO, OSHA, FLSA, ADAAA, FMLA, etc.).Maintain affirmative action program; prepare EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.Provide support for other duties and projects either locally driven or Atkore-wide.May be assigned as a subject-matter expert/best practice lead on one or more human resources disciplines, company-wide.All other assigned dutiesQualifications include:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.3 - 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience, or proven experience and high performance as an HR Generalist.
