Job Description PRIDE Health is seeking a local contract Medical Lab Technician for a local contract job in Springfield, Massachusetts. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Medical Lab Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 26 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Tech to support our client’s medical facility based in Springfield, MA. This is a 6 month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Title: Medical Laboratory Tech Location: Springfield, MA Schedule: 3rd shift : 40 hours per week (5 x 8hr shifts) Pay Range: $40 - $51 per hour Duration: 6 months Job Summary Performs laboratory testing and analysis on patient specimens to support diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention. Ensures high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety while carrying out assigned technical responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment. Essential Functions * Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures, quality assurance guidelines, and safety standards. * Prepare reagents, maintain supplies, and manage inventory to support efficient operations and reduce waste. * Exercise sound clinical judgment to prioritize workload, identify issues, troubleshoot test systems, and escalate concerns through appropriate channels when needed. * Assist with review and revision of procedures and documentation to support accreditation and regulatory compliance (CAP, TJC, OSHA, etc.). * Maintain clear, real-time communication with teammates and leadership regarding issues impacting patient care or department operations. * Participate in staff meetings, projects, competency assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
