Job Description Job Description Residential Counselor (Full
Time)POSITION SUMMARYThis is counseling position is intended for
applicants that hold an active LDCP and/or a minimum of 2 years’ of
clinical experience in the behavioral health/recovery field and
working towards licensure. This position provides individual and
group services and clinical documentation according to state and
federal requirements.QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of a high school
diploma. A minimum of two years’ experience in the human service
setting and an understanding of the existing related social service
network and experience with referral techniques with these
agencies. LCDP, or must gain LCDP licensure within 6 months of
hire.PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Provide direct services to assigned clients
on a daily basis. Provide direct services to identified populations
which include: orientation, report/record keeping, counseling,
crisis intervention, case management, consultation, referral,
treatment planning, and client education. Complete and maintain
appropriate reports and paperwork in conformance with state
licensing regulations and agency policies. Attend a minimum of
weekly clinical supervision and in-service trainings as required.
Adhere to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards for
substance abuse counseling, including HIPAA and 42 CFR part 2.
Maintain all records in accordance with State, Federal and Agency
requirements. As necessary, will provide and/or coordinate services
for clients in a fashion that is consistent with the utilization of
the 12 core functions of a substance abuse professional. Facilitate
group treatment activities as assigned. Transition identified
clients into appropriate after care services. Act as a liaison
between other community resources and CCA. SECONDARY
