Job Description:
A 170-provider multispecialty group in southeast Massachusetts
is adding a Hospitalist. In addition to 40 Primary Care physicians,
who represent a wide variety of medical and surgical specialists.
They pride themselves on excellent training, extensive experience,
and careful attention to evidence-based and cost-effective care.
About the Opportunity: Team of 26 hospitalists admits patients to 2
community hospitals, 350 beds, and a Brown University Hospital with
185 beds ICU admissions by the Hospitalists are rare, with no
invasive procedures, intubations, or ICU management required There
is no major trauma Hospitalists work 7-on and 7-off, assigned to
either of the hospitals for their week block. There is a 12-hour
rounding day shift (7 am - 7 pm) and an admitting ?swing? shift (1
pm - 10 pm), and candidates must be willing to accept assignment to
either shift. There are no required overnight shifts. Average
rounding load of 16-18, with 2-7 admissions on the admitting swing
shift. Staff 2 nearby hospitals, but only assigned to one for the
week. For those Hospitalists who desire, opportunities may exist
for additional shifts. Significant emphasis is placed on patient
satisfaction, teamwork, and efficient care Physician-owned group,
