Float Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Boston,
Massachusetts. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg

12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type:
Travel 07/28/25 to 10/25/25 13 Weeks 36 Hours/week 12H Rotating
07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Description: FLOAT POOL POSITION (15 medical
surgical units - 600 bed facility) Ratios 4:1 Days and 6:1 Nights 8
& 12H rotating day/eve/night position WILL WORK ALL SHIFTS AS
NEEDED - combination of 8s and 12s, 1 week 3H hour shifts and 1-12H
shift. every other weekend and holidays required* No call required
- Who manages ventilators: RT, RN responsible for administering
nebulizers - Unit specific procedures: 12 lead EKGs, lasix gtt,
blood transfusions, telemetry monitoring. Additional Unit Specific
Information: Travel RNs are assigned to the medical surgical float
pool. Supporting 15 medical surgical units, specializing in
neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery
gyn, gu, hips and joints, oncology, transplant liver and kidneys
and or vascular. Our inpatient patient ratios average from 4:1
ratio on days to 6:1 on nights. Travel RNs are assigned to a unit
either in a 2-3 week period and some weeks can receive assignment 2
hours before shift. We are unable to provide a set schedule, but
honor RTO. The shifts are a combination of 8 and 12 hours shifts ,
rotating days and nights or day evenings every other weekend.
License Registered Nurse required 3 years related work experience
required. Prior Travel requiredCPR-AHA, ACLS-AHA Basic familiarity
with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within
web-based applications. Epic experience required - Qualifications:
Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise
preferred. Level I trauma experience required NO local travelers
will be accepted (cannot reside within 50 mi from the
facility)Orientation is weekly (every Monday barring a holiday) IVS
WITH OFFER - time off may not exceed 4 days and no blocked
scheduling requests or specific days off, week over week, will be
approved - Please provide dates and times available for interview
at time of submission ALL RTO REQUESTS MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF
SUB Travelers who have worked for Beth Israel Lahey Health as perm
or per diem within the last six months will not be accepted - MUST
be separated from facility for six months to be considered - Any
color scrubs - Parking can cost up to $43/day if working days.
