Job Description:

Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Must-Have: Telemetry experience; PCU or greater Description: Unit
information includes a total of 20 beds. Day and night shifts have
a charge RN, with additional RN and LNA staff. Patient ratios vary
based on acuity. Critical care assignments may include 1:1 for
certain high-acuity patients. Typical ICU assignments are usually
1:2. Equipment includes IV pumps, telemetry monitors, various types
of ventilators, and blood transfusion equipment. The patient
population is a mix of medical and surgical ICU. Candidates are
most recruited for their telemetry experience. Experience with
critical drips and ventilators is preferred. Procedures performed
on the unit include central line insertion, chest tube insertion,
and intubation. An organized yet adaptable personality is essential
for success in this role. Adaptability to changing situations is a
must. Every third weekend is required, with no on-call
obligations.
