Information $2,868 per week About The Position Job Title: Cath Lab
RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab RN Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 3
years in Cath Lab; 3 years critical care preferred License: Current
RN license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS required;
CPI training preferred Must-Have: Must have 2 years of Cath Lab
experience. Description: The RN develops an overall view of
patients, families, and caregivers. Establishes strong partnerships
to deliver optimal care. Supports and promotes the mission and
values of the organization. Renders professional nursing care to
patients within an assigned unit. Provides support of medical care
as directed by medical staff. Compliant in completion of all
unit-specific competencies and requirements. Cares for critically
ill patients with the department. Involved in quality improvement
planning and processes for practice areas. Completes clinical
documentation and care plans comprehensively and timely. Seeks
feedback regarding practice and takes appropriate actions. Reflects
knowledge of current practice standards and regulations.
Communicates patient information for continuity and safe care
through handoffs and interactions. Provides a safe and secure
environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Implements resources
and initiatives to improve patient safety. Works within guidelines
to promote error reporting and safe practices. Addresses issues
through appropriate use of the chain of command. Completes hourly
rounding in collaboration with assistants on all assigned patients.
Identifies and assists in correcting patient care safety issues.
Recognizes and praises excellent performance in colleagues and
co-workers. Builds respectful relationships through proactive
identification of concerns. Collaborates across units and shifts
for timely conflict resolution. Consults with nurses in other
departments to draw upon expertise. Displays a professional and
positive perspective at all times. Seeks opportunities to assist
all team members. Demonstrates willingness to resolve tension
within the unit. Effectively delegates aspects of care and unit
activities to other personnel. Collaborates in planning,
supervising, and instructing nurses and assistants. Works
collaboratively with nursing students and instructors. Participates
in peer review of colleagues. Participates in survey readiness.
Demonstrates characteristics of commitment to co-workers and
accountability for peers. Manages scheduled time off per policy.
Performs other duties as consistent with this role. Must assist
with insertion of Flow wire, Opsens, and IVUS. Must demonstrate
contraindications and reversal for IV adenosine infusion. Ability
to safely administer procedural sedation and pass annual sedation
examination. Documents sedation according to policies and
procedures. Basic dysrhythmia knowledge preferred or to be obtained
before completion of orientation. On-call required for Cath Lab and
