SECURITY/ DRIVER -FULL TIME 40 HOURS Tuesday-Saturday 7AM-3:30PM Position Summary:For over 35 years, North Hill, a not-for-profit senior living community located in Needham, Massachusetts, has provided vibrant living opportunities to people 65 by offering a host of hospitality, wellness and health care services. The Security/Driver is responsible for all aspects of safety and transportation for Residents while delivering a memorable first impression of hospitality. Job Specific Duties:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Drives and assists Residents to and from appointmentsAssist other Departments with Resident functions occurring outside the facilityRuns errands for necessary company businessKeeps vehicle maintenance and mileage log current Maintains trip logs for appropriate vehiclesMaintains all vehicles in good operating conditionCleans all company vehiclesAdheres to driving appointment scheduleProvides the safest environment possible for Residents, guests, and Team MembersFosters trust and a sense of safety for ResidentsAssists Security by responding to radio calls, smoke and fire alarms and health emergencies (PERS, Personal Emergency Response System Calls)Complies with all safety and environmental procedures, including hazardous control, evacuation programs, and other building awareness programsIssues parking violations to all illegally parked vehiclesInvestigates reports of damage to vehicles and reports to supervisorsResponds to Resident inquiries and requests within the scope of authority and refers all unresolved matters to supervisorsPrepares related reports and contacts local authorities as requested. Completes computer log and writes reportsAssists with all deliveries to the facility and delivers the packages, notices etc. to Resident apartmentsAssists with emergencies involving Residents, guests, and Team MembersProvide caring, thoughtful and engaging service at all timesCommunicates any challenges, complaints or service difficulties to immediate supervisorMeets department uniform, appearance and grooming requirementsComplies with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety or environmentRequired Skills and Abilities:Ability to maintain confidentiality and strong customer support skillsComplies with protection of health information (HIPAA) safeguardsAbility to work independently with limited supervisionWork professionally with people from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgroundsMust be able to communicate effectively with Residents, Team Members and Visitors.
