DIRECTOR OF REHABILITATION Position SummaryThe Director of
Rehabilitation is responsible for planning, organizing, directing,
controlling and evaluating rehabilitation programs, services and
personnel in a manner that supports the goals of the designated
facility while meeting federal and state regulations and the state
specific practice acts for Physical, Occupational, and Speech
Therapy. Job Specific DutiesReasonable accommodations may be made

functions. Manages the rehabilitation program for the facility or
designated facilitiesManages rehab staffing levels and Resident
care productivity levels to meet clinical and operational
needsEnsures ongoing rollout of new policies and procedures to
departmental staffParticipates in facility performance improvement
programParticipates in facility marketing activities as
necessaryDisplays appropriate written and verbal communication
skills and responds in a timely mannerManages productivity standard
to meet clinical and operational goalsEvaluates and provides
counseling to Team MembersReviews the medical records assuring
federal and state requirements and conditions of participation for
Medicare, Medicaid and other alternative payment models
metImplements appropriate facility procedures to meet compliance
standardsDemonstrates consistent knowledge and application of
Medicare and other reimbursement regulationsDelivers direct
Resident care in the appropriate disciplineFacilitates appropriate
utilization and appearance of rehabilitation spaceMonitors that a
preventative maintenance program is in place for the equipment
utilized within the department and reports any problems to the
appropriate personnelCommunicates effectively with Residents,
clients and Team Members regarding specific programs, goals,
objectives, problems and successesEnsures accuracy and
reconciliation of billing data in accordance with billing
deadlinesReviews and monitors revenue and expenses and initiate
appropriate action plans to ensure budget goals are met or
exceededActively participates in the recruitment, hiring,
orientation of new staff and continuing education for staffModels
appropriate professional behavior and acts as a mentor to Team
MembersReviews documentation practices for clarity, conciseness and
consistency with Resident outcome goalsRecognizes and reports all
allegations of Resident abuse, neglect, exploitation, social media
exposure, and/or misappropriation of Resident property
immediatelyProvides cross campus therapy services as needs
ariseEnsures, communicates and coordinates departmental functions
in a constructive manner that helps build team rapport and
effectiveness through compassionPerforms other duties as required
or directed by SupervisorMeets department uniform, appearance and
grooming requirementsComplies with all OSHA safety regulations,
local applicable laws regarding health, safety or
environmentSupervisory ResponsibilitiesYes Required Skills and
AbilitiesAbility to maintain confidentiality and strong customer
support and communication skillsAbility to work independently with

have a valid Driver's License and able to drive a motor
vehicleEducation and ExperienceMust have a license in Physical
Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy for the state of
MassachusettsIf non-licensed therapist, high school graduate or
equivalent3 or more years of clinical management experience
preferredProficient with computer software programsCurrent CPR and
AED certification requiredPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands
