Because we have some of the most talented people in the world!We are searching for a Social Worker - Clinical to perform diversified duties both within and in support of the social work functions. Under the supervision of an LICSW, provide case management services independently including but not limited to application of clinical diagnostic, assessment or treatment knowledge or skills. Identify and address psychosocial factors that may impede the patients' ability to optimize benefit from the health care delivery experience. Intervene as necessary preventing over and under utilization of health care resources. Actively participate in discharge planning to assure timely individual patient discharges within the scope of position responsibilities. Responsibilities may include on call/shift coverage and holiday coverage.$3000 new hire sign-on bonus with LICSW or LMHC license at time of hire. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)

• Hours: 40hrs
  Shift: Day shift; 8:00am-4:30pm with some flexibility; Every 5th weekend rotation and holiday rotation
• Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

  • Will be assigned to a med-surge unit, at St. Luke's Hospital (PCU and Century 4), however will have orientation at all three sites and on various units in order to be capable of providing back up coverage to other units as/if needed.
    
    Education and/or Experience Requirements:
    
    • 
      
    • A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university or the equivalent knowledge or experience is required.
    • Current Massachusetts Social Work license at a minimum of a LCSW is required. LICSW and LMHC also considered.
    • Over three (3) years of related work experience including one (1) year experience in a medically oriented setting is required. (recent graduates also encourage to apply)
    • Computer skills are essential.
