• Hours: 40hrs
• Shift: Evening/night shift with weekend and holiday rotation. 7 days on/7 days off schedule. After 10pm is on-call.
• Travel: This is a home care position. Will require driving
  We are searching for a RN - After Hours to establish the standards of practice for the Staff Nurse which are based upon the American Nurses Association of Standards of Home Health and Hospice Nursing Practice. Perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice. Assess and care for patients, including assessment of patients with the most acute symptoms and ensuring they get quick access to care.Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Graduate of an NLN accredited school of Nursing is required.
  • MA and RI RN license is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or currently enrolled in a program leading to a B.S.N. is preferred.
  • Two years recent hospital, medical/surgical or other relevant nursing experience required.
  • Must possess and demonstrate highly effective interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
  • Requires proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs.
  • Triage experience and Hospice & palliative care experience and or certification preferred.
    Must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID 19 and seasonal Influenza. Must provide required vaccination documentation, unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.***SIGN-ON DETAILS***
    
  • $15,000 with a minimum 3+ years of Hospice/Palliative nursing experience.
    
  • $12,000 with 1+ years of Hospice/Palliative nursing experience.
    
  • $10,000 with less than 1 year of Hospice/Palliative nursing experience OR 1+ years of hospital RN experience.
