Job Description:

Builds, tests, and engineers Web applications using modern technologies Angular, Node.js, and REST APIs. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Participates in architecture design teams.

Defines and implements application level architecture.

Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.

Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.

Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.

Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.

Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.

Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.

Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.

Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.

Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.

Advises senior management on technical strategy.

Mentors junior team members.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, GRD Computer Science Web Technologies and Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience developing, architecting, and deploying Web based applications within an end-to-end personal investing wealth management environment.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, GRD Computer Science Web Technologies and Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) year of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing, architecting, and deploying Web based applications within an end-to-end personal investing wealth management environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing front end financial Web applications using modern Javascript frameworks -- Angular, RxJs, Redux, NgRx, and jQuery; developing iOS apps, using Swift and Objective C; and designing wireframes for Web applications, using Adobe Photoshop and InVision.

DE building Restful and SOAP services, using Spring Boot Framework and NodeJS; building and deploying Web applications using Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools -- Jenkins, Maven, and uDeploy; writing Python scripts to manage AWS resources from API calls using BOTO SDK; configuring AWS CLI to control AWS Services from command line interfaces; and automating using Shell and BASH scripting.

DE performing unit testing, using Jasmine and Karma for Angular based Web applications; performing unit testing of Restful APIs using Junit; and performing automation testing on lines of Behavior Driven Development (BDD), using Protractor, Cucumber tool, and Selenium.

DE performing Web application performance improvements, using Java memory profiling and Web page testing tools -- Google PageSpeed Insights; and monitoring, searching, and analyzing machine generated data in real time using Splunk.
