We are searching for an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) to perform a wide variety of duties in providing administrative leadership to St Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. Responsible for daily patient care operations and for the development of services and recommending organizational programs, based on data analysis. Develop and monitor processes to ensure the highest quality of service is provided to patients and stakeholders within and outside the organization. Responsible for compliance with all regulatory and legal parameters. Foster continuous improvement and development of services based on state-of-the-art, visionary developments in the field. Serve as a role model for standards of behavior and performance.

Duties include supervisory responsibility for assigned Patient Care Services departments at SLH, including responsibility for selection, orientation, and training of personnel; initiation of personnel action recommendations; manpower planning and development; and fiscal accountability for establishing and controlling operating budgets. Duties involve supervisory responsibility for personnel. Position reports to the Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer.

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

* A Master's Degree in Nursing, business or healthcare related field from an accredited school or the combination of equivalent knowledge and experience is required; BSN required.
* Registration and current Massachusetts RN license is required.
* A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience is required.
* Completion of courses in nursing administration and personnel administration are preferred.
* Proven ability to direct and respond to change; analyze and create data sources and recommend appropriate action required.
* Strong leadership, development and communication skills demonstrated both within and outside of the organization required.
* Ability to function effectively as a constructive and respected team member at the governance level of the system required.

Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID 19 and provide required vaccination documentation, unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
