Job Description:
Job Description Responsible for all aspects of the event rental
business as outlined below. The position is appropriate for someone
who has managed a mid-sized event rental business or has worked in
the industry who is ready to take on the challenge of running a
party rental business. Scope of Event Rental Business: The event
rental business primarily consists of the rental of an inventory of
tents, tables, chairs, staging and flooring, glassware, silverware,
cooking equipment, bounce houses, electronics, and linens.
Responsibilities Operations Management Establishing a procedure for
the safe and efficient installation and removal of tents and
related event rental items. Create/maintain inventory management
system to allow for efficient operations. Manage delivery/ pickup
schedule to ensure customer satisfaction. Inventory Control Storage
and care of equipment in the warehouse as well as loading and
unloading of trucks. Project management Leading crews on large or
complex jobs. Inspecting the work of the crews to ensure the
quality remains high and specific procedural steps are followed.
Staffing Through recruitment and retention maintain proper staffing
levels. Train all staff to meet event rental business goals Cost
controls related to staffing. Maintain procedures to keep staff
operating in an efficient manner. Maintain positive work
environment for staff. Discipline/terminate underperforming staff
if attempts to coach/improve team member performance is
unsuccessful. Business Development/Sales Respond to inbound
inquiries to close contracts on event rental opportunities. Call on
existing clients, local businesses, municipalities and function
halls to create business opportunities. . Miscellaneous other
duties Emergency response, general opening and closing of store,
