To uphold these commitments, we expect all employees to recognize and properly respond to racism and other forms of injustice.About the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program:The Teen Pregnancy Prevention and Outreach program is a community-based program providing mentorship to Hispanic & Latina female teenagers in New Bedford, MA providing education to empower and promote positive decision-making in the prevention of pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease.About this Role:Meeting Street is seeking a dynamic relationship builder and team leader as the Program Manager for our Teen Outreach Program. The ideal candidate will be at ease in speaking to large groups and leading a charge, and will have ability to build rapport with youth participants. They will have knowledge of and connections to resources and programs in the New Bedford Area, and will leverage that to develop collaborative relationships with partnership agencies as host sites and referral services for participants. They must have their own desire to learn and grow, as the program's needs will be ever-changing.Responsibilities include the financial and operational oversight of the program, including accurate collection, evaluation and reporting of program data, and ensuring program compliance to state and federal guidelines. They will also be responsible for the training and direct supervision of all program employees, conducting weekly team meetings and individual supervision and observations, and will be passionate about promoting professional development and growth opportunities for employees.Scheduled Hours: This is a full-time position working forty (40) hours weekly and will require flexible availability on weekdays to accommodate the needs of participants.Key Skills:Fully bilingual in both English and Spanish languagesKnowledge of community resources and programs in the New Bedford areaEducated in youth engagement and empowerment modelsEffective relationship building and relationship managementAbility to recruit professional partnership agencies and program participantsProfessional verbal and written communicationEffective employee management, including training, supervising, performance management and professional developmentDesire to learn and grow to meet ever-changing program needsTechnology literate to capture and report on program dataRespect for cultural, ethnic and linguistic diversityAbility to establish supportive, trusting relationships with teensOrganization and time managementQualifications:Fully Bilingual in both English and Spanish languages is required3+ Years experience managing community-based programming focused on teens and young adultsExperience supervising and training employeesExperience in Community Health/Outreach/Advocacy, Youth Development programmingValid Driver's License and ability to provide own transportation to appointmentsMeeting Street is committed to ideals of justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, learning and creating an anti-racist work culture.Meeting Street is a non-profit organization offering a high-coverage, low-cost benefits package to employees working thirty or more hours weekly.
