Job Description:

Meet online with top Maine employers at our next Virtual ME--Career--Fair! Cumberland County Federal Credit Union is seeking to fill the role of VP of Finance & Administration. In this position the right candidate will direct and manage all finance and administration functions including accounting, data processing, internal audit, compliance, ALM, investment and liquidity management, and human resources. We are looking for a self-starting, motivated individual that can lead department staff, ensure accurate financial reporting, and deliver exceptional back-office service to other employees and credit union members. This position will supervise three staff and report to the CFO. Requirements Requirements and Expectations:

  • Be committed to the credit union's mission of keeping banking simple.
  • Ability to provide excellent service to both members and other employees.
  • Must possess knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office products and have a thorough knowledge of data processing systems and accounting software.
  • This position requires strong interpersonal and presentation skills. Will have extensive contact with other departments and outside contacts. Will be expected to present to staff, management and the board of directors.
  • CCFCU promotes a hands-on management culture. This position is expected to perform all functions in the department to train and serve as a back-up for each position.
  • Actively promotes CCFCU in the community. Attending public relations events including business development. Primary Responsibilities:
    • Promote the credit union's cultural values.
    • Supervise the Controller, Internal Auditor and Executive Administrator.
    • Lead in the implementation of department's business plan. Leading all projects, directing staff and reporting results to management.
    • Ensure accurate financial reporting and prepare reporting package for board of directors.
    • Responsible for end-of-day, end-of-month and end-of-year processing.
    • Work with department leaders to develop annual budget.
    • Manage short and long-term liquidity including cash-flow forecasting and investment management.
    • Manage all asset-liability management functions including software maintenance, meeting agendas and recommendations to ALCO.
    • Oversee vendor management program ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policy.
    • Oversee annual benefits renewal cycle including health and supplemental insurances.
    • Oversee the credit union's internal audit and compliance programs including leading the direction of the Supervisory Committee. Education and Experience:
      • Bachelor's degree in related field or CUNA Management School Certificate required.
      • Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a similar role.
      • Financial institution or related experience required; credit union experience preferred. NOTE: This job application requires a cover letter and resume.
