Solutions and Conduit & Fittings, totaling just over $1.4B in
annual revenue. Mechanical Products is a stand-alone business unit
with about $500M in annual revenue.Our global locations include 66
manufacturing and distribution centers in the US, Canada, the
United Kingdom, China, Australia, and New Zealand with over 4,000
employees.We are currently searching for an HR Manager at our New
Bedford, MA facility reporting to the Cable Solutions Director of
Human Resources and to business partner with the VP/GM for AFC and
Senior Director of Operations for AFC. This person will be
responsible for guiding and managing the various human resource
functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and
development, performance monitoring, and counseling for New
Bedford's Flaherty facility. This leader will also be expected to
drive the organization development roadmaps through the Atkore OLR
process. Be a key contributor to the SBU's strategic planning
process ensuring resource alignment in support of future growth
goals. While developing and driving the engagement and alignment
culture.The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 5-7
years of human resource experience along with 3-5 years of union
experience being the chief spokesperson for grievance management.
Additional experience with union contract negotiations, commercial
teams and lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a
plus.Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited
to:Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt
personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new-employee
orientations; monitors career-pathing program and writes and places
advertisements.Consults with managers and supervisors on
absenteeism, turnover and workforce data and take actions where
necessary.Managing the labor relations environment in New Bedford,
MA which is a union represented workforce.Serves as a link between
management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve
work-related problems.Administers various human resource plans and
procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development
and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.Performs
difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing,
resolving disputes, terminating employees, and administering
disciplinary procedures.Handles employee relations counseling,
outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.Participates in
leadership staff meetings and attends other business meetings as
required.Manage performance management systems.Maintain records and
compile statistical reports concerning personnel, and wage, related
data.Maintain human resource information system records and compile
reports from the database. As well as updating job requirements and
job descriptions for all positions.Ensure legal compliance by
monitoring and implementing federal and state requirements
applicable to human resource, safety and payroll matters; conduct
investigations and maintain records.Develops and maintains
affirmative action program; prepare EEO-1 report annually; maintain
other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO
regulations.Receive, process, and maintain requests for information
regarding unemployment, workers comp, and employee assistance
programs.Organize and work independently on multiple assigned
tasks/projects and complete assignments within specified
deadlines.All other duties as assignedQualifications
include:Bachelor's Degree5-7 years Human Resources experience3-5
years of Union experienceAbility to be truthful and be credible in
