are connected. This position will report to the Sr. Director,
Facilities & Engineering and be located at our Watertown, MA site
at first, after 6-9 months, will transition to our Northbridge, MA
facility. Responsibilities Primary responsibilities include, but
are not limited to, the following: Individual Responsibilities Lead
engineering aspects of projects through all phases of engineering
projects including design, equipment procurement, construction,
installation, startup, commissioning, qualification, and
validation. Lead or collaborate for project planning and
implementation activities to reduce operating costs and increase
efficiency. Drive results by owning and completing complex projects
to implement new manufacturing and utility equipment to support new
manufacturing processes and increase operational efficiency.
Maintain Engineering Turnover Packages, including specifications,
component lists, operating manuals, and drawings for GMP equipment
and update as required. Coordinate and communicate engineering
related activities with equipment vendors and internal
stakeholders. Provide direct engineering support and Subject Matter
Expertise for process and utility equipment in use at all Eyepoint
facilities as needed. Write and execute project execution plans,
test protocols, validation protocols, and final reports. Work in
cross-functional teams and coordinate activities with various
departments for implementing new equipment and operational
improvements. Provide support to Facilities Operations with
troubleshooting equipment issues, reviewing maintenance
plans/activities, reviewing and revising SOP's and improving
efficiencies within Facilities and Engineering. Qualifications
Primary skills and knowledge required include, but are not limited
to the following: Experience in life sciences, medical devices, or
regulated industry. Exceptional project management skills, the
ability to track and manage complex processes, projects, and
budgets. Analytical skills to analyze process steps and seek
optimization. Mechanical skills to oversee the use of equipment
used in production. Experience with commissioning and qualification
of equipment and utilities in a GMP facility. Familiar with
engineering software like Bluebeam, AutoCAD and/or SOLIDWORKS.
Experience owning and supporting management of Quality Systems such
as Deviations, Change Controls, and CAPA. Other Requirements:
Proactive and creative problem solver who is highly organized and
detail oriented. Excellent listening and communication skills -
both written and verbal. Demonstrated adaptability, resiliency, and
ability to thrive in fast-paced organization. Proven ability to
influence and drive organizational success. A demonstrated track
record of successful cross-functional leadership, collaboration,
and relationship building. Level of Education Required: Bachelor of
Science, preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Number of
Years of Experience in the Function and in the Industry: A minimum
of 5-8 years of experience in medical device and/or pharmaceuticals
