Job Description:
POSITION: Infant/Toddler Classroom Teacher DUTIES: Responsible
for working with a small group of infants and toddlers implementing
the Centers program and insuring the overall health and safety of
the children in our care. SUPERVISION: Reports to the Lead Teacher
RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to): Implement
developmentally appropriate curriculum Model best practices in
early care and education Observe and assess a small group of
children Implement the mission of the Center Has clear
knowledge/understanding of Early Education & Care regulations
Facilitate parent meetings and document all communications
properly, as needed Insure center is always clean and physically
safe; inside and outside Attend and participate in meetings,
conferences, trainings as needed Able to work independently, be
flexible and have a sense of humor Other job related
duties/responsibilities may arise to reflect the needs of the
organization. QUALIFICATIONS: Infant/Toddler Teacher certification
required plus experience working in infant/toddler programs
Participation in Early Childhood Program at college level preferred
Experience working in community "based settings Bilingual
background an asset Satisfactory response to a Background Record
Check (BRC) and SORI
