Position Description Ondrick Materials & Recycling, LLC owns and operates divisions in the aggregate, paving and hardscape industries. The Loader/Operator will contribute to the Fine Grading team as well as to the overall Ondrick Materials and Recycling team to ensure goals are met safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies. This position focuses primarily on equipment operation and various material handling duties. Position Requirements Qualifications: Ability to operate various pieces of large equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations and move materials safely through the yard and/or quarry. Ensure that loads are positioned and placed securely. Experience with layout, grading and drainage. Maintenance of a front loader, dozer and excavator: Perform the pre-operations check and other inspections/cleaning as prescribed. MA Hoisting license, MA Driver's license DOT card. Must have 2 years' experience minimum, be skilled with large loaders and excavators. Reliable, with a strong work ethic Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screens Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a busy aggregate yard and quarry environment Experience with a dozier in fine grading /-.10ft by traditional control, set up GPS and calibrate GPS Experience with an excavator and able to strip, subgrade, pull pond slopes, cut and fill areas to /- .10ft of required Must be able to operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals in a timely manner with attention to detail Ability to safely and productively load trucks Ability to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 lbs. of force regularly to move objects Abide by all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as all company safety procedures Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment Knows and uses appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times Ability to work overtime, nights and weekends if needed Environment: Varying weather conditions including extreme hot and cold environments, rain Exposure to atmospheric conditions such as dust, dirt, fumes, stone and minerals Exposure to load noise and vibration Physical Demands: Standing, walking, bending, climbing and stretching are required outside in the weather for extended periods during the shift. The ability to sit for 6-8 hours per day in 2-3 hour intervals. Manual dexterity to handle tools and the ability to move 50 pounds are regularly required to perform routine functions. Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills sufficient to safely operate heavy equipment in an active work area. Regular and peripheral vision sufficient to safely operate heavy equipment in an active work area and perform job functions as described above. Hearing must be sufficient to safely operate heavy equipment in an active work area.
