Job Description Job Description General Ledger Accountant Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid) Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Type: 9-month contract Compensation: $35-$45/hour (DOE) Job Summary Our client is seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to support core accounting operations with a focus on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger. This role is ideal for a hands-on accountant who has strong reconciliation skills, is comfortable supporting month-end close, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. CPA is not required. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities Complete balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations Maintain accuracy of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies Assist with preparation of internal financial reports Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests Partner with senior accounting staff on close and reporting activities Assist with process improvements and documentation Support ad hoc accounting projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2-5 years of general ledger or corporate accounting experience CPA not required Working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar preferred) Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables preferred) High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have Experience in a corporate or shared services environment Exposure to system implementations or process improvements Prior contract or project-based accounting experience Benefits: LHH Recruitment Solutions benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
