Job Description Job Description We are looking for an
experienced Accountant to join our team in Bristol, Indiana. This
is a Contract position within the manufacturing industry, offering
an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations and
processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical
skills and expertise in accounting practices, ensuring accuracy in
financial reporting and compliance. Responsibilities: • Prepare and
record journal entries to maintain accurate financial statements. •
Perform account reconciliations to verify balances and resolve
discrepancies. • Manage month-end close activities, ensuring timely
and accurate reporting. • Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and
Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to streamline transactions. •
Maintain the general ledger, ensuring proper classification of
accounts and transactions. • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure
alignment between company records and financial institutions. •
Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze and organize financial data
effectively. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance
with accounting standards and organizational policies. • Provide
support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and
reports.• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a
detail-oriented environment. • Proficiency in preparing journal
entries and reconciling accounts. • Strong knowledge of Accounts
Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. • Hands-on
experience with general ledger maintenance and financial reporting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and
spreadsheet management. • Familiarity with bank reconciliations and
resolving financial discrepancies. • Ability to work independently
and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent
attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
