We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Cost Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Manufacturing located in Southern Boston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to support accurate and timely reporting of product and raw material costsAnalyze and reconcile cost data to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and inventory valuationsProvide support to budget and forecast activities and ensure accuracy of cost inputsConduct variance analysis between actual and forecasted costsAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reportsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cost accuracy and process efficiencyParticipate in special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests as neededRequirements/Skills:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field5+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of cost accounting principles, GAAP and inventory accountingAdvanced proficiency in Excel, experience with ERP systems a plusAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsIf you're a detail-oriented and results-driven professional with a passion for cost accounting, we'd love to hear from you!
